Basic Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Sales and Marketing Manager IL is to assist the team with the Independent Living marketing and sales efforts for Lambeth House. The position also assists in coordinating internal resident transfers throughout the continuum of care at Lambeth House. In addition to duties as listed, the primary objective of this position is to meet or exceed all sales goals as established by BSI, Inc.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
General administrative and sales duties Independent Living
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that increase/maintain overall census and revenue growth.
- Provide expert advice to Administration and act as consultant in matters of marketing, advertising, and public relations.
- Develop a Marketing Plan for Independent Living annually. Additionally, to revise the plan (if needed) throughout the year to ensure plan is in line with BSI business objectives.
- Represent BSI in addressing complaints and grievances from current and future residents of Lambeth House. Consult with other department directors to achieve issue resolution.
- Build and leverage long-term relationships with referral sources (including, but not limited to physicians, hospital discharge planners, social workers, home health care staff, etc.)
- Continuously modify sales strategies and plans to ensure optimal BSI business outcomes.
- Document all sales activities in ACT! (the sales and marketing database)
- Respond to all inquiries (phone, website, and/or walk-ins) from potential prospects in a timely manner.
- Conduct tours for prospects and families.
- Professionally represent LH at community events and outreach engagements, presenting to groups as necessary.
- Inform, direct and monitor performance of IL marketing/outreach efforts, ensuring steady flow of inquiries and move-ins.
- Orients new residents to ensure a smooth transition to the community.
- Understand and execute application, admission, and RA documents.
- Adhere to the basic sales call requirements as presented in the Sales Matrix (see attached)
- Offer consistent communication of upcoming move-ins, vacancies, and reservations with fellow marketing directors and officers.
New Reservations and Waiting Lists
- Coordinates follow-up for potential residents/families re: required forms.
- Executes follow-up related to physician and medical information needed.
- Schedules/coordinates Lambeth House Independent Living assessments.
- Negotiates fees with construction companies on behalf of BSI and the future Lambeth House residents for individual apartment customizations
- Acts as an intermediary between BSI and contractors and coordinates contracted work with Environmental Services.
- Coordinates move-in arrangements and follow-up.
Move-Ins
- Confirm move-in dates and communicate to LH depts.
- Confirm move-in “readiness” of apts./rooms.
- Coordinate keys, emergency pendants, Resident Handbook, Move-In gift, etc. ready for new
resident.
- Provide and review Resident Handbook, Work Order procedures, policies, etc. with new resident.
- Distribute/post new resident profile
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
2. Must be high school graduate with some college preferred.
3. Must possess critical thinking skills and take initiative to resolve problems.
4. Must understand “resident-service/customer service” philosophy and appropriate
communication.
5. Must be proficient in MS Word, ACT!, Excel & Outlook.
6. Must be detail-oriented and able to balance competing priorities.
7. Must have a high level of respect for confidentiality.
Typical Physical Demands
1. Must possess ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
2. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Compensation: $65,000.00 per year
